The name India is final for the alliance: Mallikarjuna Kharge

AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge clarified that the name India is final for the alliance.

AICC president Mallikarjuna Kharge, who participated in the press conference, said that we have held a meeting of all 26 party leaders. Sonia Gandhi and 26 senior party leaders participated and held a very important meeting. We held a meeting for the survival of democracy. He said that we are going to raise one voice together.

We took decisions in favor of the people and searched for a name that everyone could agree on. The name INDIA was given to the union. Everyone agreed on this name.

Narendra Modi called the NDA meeting after seeing our meeting. The parties in the NDA did not pay lip service to Modi. Now NDA was in pieces.. Now they are working to connect all of them.. That means Modi is scared of us with unity, he quipped.

The next meeting will be held in Mumbai. BJP is destroying democracy. Government agencies like CBI, ED are misusing the opposition. Country is important to us. Politically we may have different state to state. But everyone is determined to go together for the cause of the country. He said that there were 16 parties in the Patna meeting, 26 parties have come to this meeting.

There has been a discussion on many issues including the unity mantra and ideology of all parties to defeat Modi in the 2024 elections.

We have given a name to our alliance. Earlier it was known as UPA. Now we have named India. Many issues have been discussed, 11 member coordinator committee has been formed, members will be named soon, a meeting will be held in Mumbai soon, a committee will be formed for campaigning and this committee will work in Delhi itself, said Kharge.
